First Post–Create a New Thread with two components (Due Tuesday)
1) The three selections below all relate to the theme of Love. For each piece, describe what kind of love you think is depicted musically. Choose one or more adjectives that best describe each musical selection (for example: passionate, tender and gentle, unrequited, schmaltzy, bittersweet, intense–or anything else you can think of).
2) Choose the piece that you feel is the most successful at conveying this feeling of love. Write a paragraph outlining why you think so. Include descriptions of at least two aspects of the music that help convey this feeling of love. Make sure to use elements of music terminology (instruments being used, use of high or low register/sounds, loud or soft dynamics) and anything else you can think of.
