PAPER ONE:
Seven Questions Exercise – , Sire describes that people are typically unaware of what their worldview is and that it becomes evident by how it is demonstrated through words and actions (2009, p.21). Because of this reality, it is critical to understand how the answers to Sire’s seven basic questions impact peoples’ lives. As Sire states, “So long as we live, we will live either the examined or unexamined life. It is the assumption of this book that the examined life is better,” (2009, p.24). Using the Sire text, and at least one other scholarly source, write at least one paragraph for each question articulating how the answers to these questions influence behavior. The objective of this assignment is not to answer the questions from your worldview perspective, but rather think about and articulate how the answers to these questions inform actions. What is prime reality – the really real? What is the nature of external reality, that is, the world around us? What is a human being? What happens to a person at death? Why is it possible to know anything at all? How do we know what is right and wrong? What is the meaning of human history?
