Personal note: Read page 21-40 in Actually, since you wrote about Amber in the discussion for this part write about Tom please.
Character Analysis Part Deux
For this Reading Response Journal, we will continue developing ideas for Es.say Two. In your Discussion Post on Actually I asked for you to develop a character analysis of either Amber or Tom. For this reading response journal, I would like you to do the same for the opposite character. So, if you wrote about Amber in your discussion post, you’ll write about Tom in your this reading response journal. If you wrote about Tom in your discussion post, you’ll write about Amber in this journal.
Compose a reading response journal in which describe Amber or Tom’s character traits in as much detail as you can. To support your descriptions, make sure to present evidence (meaning quotes) from the text to support your analysis. Consider identifying two or three character traits for which you can find multiple pieces of evidence. In a final paragraph, tell us what you have learned about Amber or Tom in process of writing your analysis.
Important:
You must use evidence from beyond p. 21 in Actually. I want to see that you’re processing the second part of the play, rather than the first part—which you processed for the discussion post.
Expectations:
- Journals should be thesis driven with supporting examples and evidence
- Journals should be written in MLA format using Times New Roman 12pt font
- Journals should be 250-350 words
- Since you are providing quotes and close visual analysis, a separate works cited page is expected.
