A trend in healthcare organizations use of HIPAA-compliant cloud infrastructure services from simple data storage to using the technology to lower costs, gain efficiencies and even move on to tasks such as personalizing patient care, is becoming a common practice to enhance the patient experience. This is happening as the service offerings of cloud technology vendors such as Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud and Microsoft Azure, in particular, are constantly changing. Some healthcare organizations are hesitant to transition to a cloud-based infrastructure and still maintain patient privacy and HIPAA safeguards.
The purpose of this assignment is to gain an understanding of an organization’s transition from simple data storage to a cloud infrastructure.
Create a PowerPoint proposal for transitioning to a cloud infrastructure. The presentation should include extensive speaker notes and be 10-15 minutes in length if you were actually presenting.
Include the following in your PowerPoint Presentation:
- Overview of the proposal.
