For many decades marketing has been defined using the 4Ps (product, price, place, promotion). There are other paradigms that have been introduced. One I like is the 5 Cs. The 5Cs looks at marketing from the customers’ perspective rather than the company perspective. The 5Cs are customer solution, cost to the customer, convenience, communication and connection.
